Therapy for Couples & Families
"Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves."
- Carl Jung
Therapy for Couples
I help couples rebuild connection, improve communication, and resolve recurring conflicts by offering a compassionate, practical approach to relationship therapy. Whether you and your partner are navigating communication breakdowns, rebuilding trust after breaches, facing intimacy challenges, or preparing for major transitions, I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore patterns, learn new skills, and create lasting change.
My work blends empathetic listening with clear interventions tailored to your relationship’s unique strengths and needs, so you can improve emotional connection, resolve conflict more effectively, and build a partnership that feels resilient and satisfying.
No matter what the reason for entering couples therapy, the solution will be unearthed by work that enables two “real selves” to intimately connect and seek to understand each other in the absence of defense. We start by recognizing that couples are drawn together because at some level they share compatible wounds. Each person is able to derive from the other that aspect of their being that unconsciously requires validation. And so it goes — each validating that part of the other until the synchronicity that worked so well at first, begins to erode and lives diverge from the original shared path.
Learning how to honor and value the relationship as a distinct entity is another important component of our work. I will strive to impart the ability to work through conflicts without residue. By focusing on repairing ruptures we can eliminate the blame, shame and defensive stances that keep intimacy and it’s healing powers from having a central place in the relationship.
Whether your situation is one that is leaving you and your partner feeling out of balance or distant, or perhaps in the midst of a revelation or traumatic experience or transition; our work will focus on honoring both partners’ unique histories and current perspectives in order to restore healthy mutuality and positive regard for the relationship.

Therapy for Families
Family therapy offers a safe, neutral space where every family member’s voice is heard and respected, helping you untangle patterns of conflict, improve communication, and rebuild trust. I work collaboratively with families to identify strengths and recurring dynamics, teach practical skills for managing stress and parenting differences, and support collective problem-solving during transitions such as divorce, blended family adjustments, grief, identity transitions, or adolescent challenges. Sessions are tailored to your goals—whether reducing arguments, strengthening connection, or creating clearer boundaries—so that your family can develop healthier ways of relating and move forward with greater resilience.
Cognizant of how different cultures, genders, orientations, age and personality influence emotional expression, my presence can provide a stabilizing and affirming environment. This is critical for families engaged in struggles to differentiate and adapt to any type of life stage or lifestyle change.
With this broad view, we will be able to develop a roadmap of your family’s emotional system and identify goals and strategies that reduce symptoms, and address the underlying processes that support the symptoms. This provides your family with healthier individuality, togetherness structures, and communications skills to navigate the inevitable challenges that come with life stage transitions and the unique challenges of blended families.
