It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are. - E. E. Cummings
The way teens cope with peer pressure, social media influences, academic and family expectations has significant impact on their physical and emotional health. Not all youth are equipped to navigate the pressure-filled and dangerous terrain of middle school and high school without resorting to unhealthy levels of anxiety, depression, substance use, risky behaviors, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts.
Adolescents who engage in one-to-one therapy realize tremendous benefits, most importantly gaining increased self-esteem, confidence and healthy coping skills to effectively deal with the significant pressures they encounter. The work I do with your adolescent supports their growth toward autonomy and contributes to their higher functioning abilities and emotional well-being.
